Waste costs money

According to the National Specialist Contractors Council's (NSCC) 2007 "Managing your waste" report the construction industry creates over 100 million tonnes of waste of waste per year. A shocking 10% of that waste comes from unused materials. It makes economic sense to prevent such waste and unnecessary cost.

By thinking smart, rethinking waste management plans and developing minimisation policies you can simply reduce waste, increase profitability and reduce the impact on the environment.

Waste Minimisation: Where possible try not to over order, just cost and measure for what you need.

Reduce: Reduce the amount of waste you produce and cut your waste collection and disposal costs.

Re-use: Re-use materials previously considered as waste which will saves raw materials, energy and money.

Recycle: Recycle materials and minimise the burden and cost of waste collection, transportation and disposal.

Rethink: Waste Management planning will assist with:

·        Meeting your environmental responsibilities

·        Increasing your profitability

·        Improving your overall site management

·        Business efficiency
