Rethinking Waste in the Community
Community Groups have been recognised as critically important to influencing the general public on a wide spectrum of both social and environmental issues.
As a result the Rethink Waste campaign is seeking the support of community groups with the aim of increasing public participation and individual responsibility for waste management. We are keen to help and support in raising the awareness and participation of community groups at all levels in rethinking waste and in particular reducing, reusing and recycling.
Get Involved in Waste and Resource Management
The National Resource and Waste Forum developed a household waste prevention toolkit to help community groups. This has since been provided to WRAP, the organisation that works with local authorities, business and households to prevent waste, increase recycling and develop markets for recycled and sustainable products.
